the short version

I'm Ivanna, a mum who got very tired of being handed advice that didn't survive contact with an actual child. So this channel does one thing: it takes the bad cartoons, the terrible advice and the screen tantrums, scrunches them up and tosses them out. What's left is the stuff that actually helps.

why stickers?

I don't appear on camera. The die-cut stickers you see all over this site are my stand-in: one expression for every "oh no", "wait, really?" and "okay, that one's actually good". It keeps the focus on the ideas instead of on a face.

the three shows

  • Big Feelings: The feelings nobody explained to us. Parenting without the guilt trip: where kids' big feelings come from, what the research actually says, and what to say in the moment.
  • Watch First: Cartoons, reviewed before your kids hit play. Kids' cartoon reviews from the parent's seat: what a show teaches, what it sells, and whether it earns a spot in the queue.
  • Co-Play: Games worth playing together. Kids' games and video games, played side by side: what's fun, what's fair, and what's quietly built to keep them hooked.

how we handle facts

When an episode leans on research, the article names the study, the year and the catch: how many people, how long, and what it can't tell us. A link is not proof that one thing causes another, and we'll say so.

You're going to mess this up sometimes. That's not failure. That's parenting.

what you won't find here

  • Shaming. Not of you, and never of your kid.
  • Clickbait headlines that the video can't back up.
  • "Every good parent already knows this." Nobody knows this. That's why we're talking about it.
